DESCRIPTION:
Vault of Frankenstein delves into 200 years of the titular antihero, from his literary origin to the breakfast cereal homage, and everything in between. My approach was to take visual cues from the gothic and art nouveau movements prevalent in Mary Shelley's era and the turn of the century. This carried through from the cover to the chapter openers and sub-sections.
One of my favorite things I've ever worked on, to this day, is the cover for Vault of Frankenstein. The deco treatment, title, and The Monster's silhouette were all done with an emboss giving it a tactile feel that truly feels like a unique offering meant for prominent placement on the shelf or coffee table.
